Why I Started This Food Blog

Food has always been at the heart of my life, a passion that started in my Jamaican grandmother’s kitchen. I remember standing beside her as she mixed flour by hand, teaching me how to shape dumplings with patience and care. Those moments—flour-dusted fingers, the scent of something delicious cooking, and the warmth of learning from someone who poured love into every dish—are where my journey with food truly began.
Over the years, friends and family have constantly asked me for recipes. I wanted a space where I could share them all. This blog is my food diary—a place to document my culinary journey, my experiments, and my love for cooking.

Growing up, my love for cooking only deepened. I was captivated by shows like MasterChef and Iron Chef, fascinated by the creativity and skill that transformed simple ingredients into something extraordinary. World cuisines, bold techniques, and the art of pushing culinary boundaries all became a passion. I wanted to learn it all—to take the flavors of my Caribbean roots and blend them with the techniques of Western fine dining, to explore, evolve, and create something new.
Whether you’re here for inspiration, new flavors, or just to follow along on my journey, I hope you find something that excites you. Welcome to my kitchen—let’s get cooking!
